Dynamite Multiplication is a great game for teaching the times tables! Most multiplication games help a student practice the times tables, but this game was designed as a teaching tool. This game will present the multiplication facts one at a time. If the student gets the answer correct, they are rewarded with a cute graphic! If they miss the equation, the program takes them directly to the teaching part of the game. The student will be shown a picture that helps anchor the product to their memory. They also have the option of listening to a story that helps them remember the multiplication fact.
The opening screen gives you a choice of what fact family you want to practice or learn. If you are new to learning the times tables using pictures and stories, you will want to click on "Base Pictures" at the bottom of the screen.
BASE PICTURES - Choose the base picture you would like to learn. They are super simple to remember, but a quick review is always good!
Here is one of the base pictures.

3 - Tree
4 - Door

After choosing the fact family from step 1, choose the speed at which you want to answer the problem. The fast setting gives you a fast fuse!
This is the main question screen. A fuse in the upper left corner sizzles away while you are entering the answer. Enter the correct answer to the multiplication problem into the box. Select "Enter" on the keyboard or on the screen when you are done. You can enter the numbers using the keypad or click on them with your mouse. To clear an answer, click on "clear."
If you get the answer wrong or time runs out, the game will show you a picture to help you remember the answer. If you would like to listen to the story that goes with the multiplication picture, click on "Story" in the bottom left corner. After you have reviewed the picture, click on "Back" to go back to the game.
If you get the answer correct before the dynamite explodes, you will see a cute graphic!
