Knights of Math - Multiplication Math Game
Content Skill: Multiplication Common Core State Standards: CCSS.Math.Content.3.OA.C.7 - Fluently multiply within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.
This game has it all; knights, squires, wizards, dragons, castles, and more. This fun math game lets knights of all ages practice the multiplication facts and have fun doing it. When finished practicing the times tables, the child gets to design and build a castle scene.
The opening screen is where you choose the fact families you would like to practice. It also shows the background you will get to decorate after practicing the times tables. Choose from the three level options at the bottom of the screen. If you'd like to practice the zero through threes fact families, choose the "0-3" button. If you'd like to practice the zero through six fact families facts, click the "0-6" button. If you'd like to practice the zero through nine fact families facts, click the "0-9" button. Clicking on a level will begin the game.
Here is where you practice the times tables. The equation is shown at the bottom of the screen along with five answers. Choose the correct answer and a new item will be placed on the screen. You must get enough answers correct to move to the decoration screen.
Congratulations, you answered enough equations correct to move on to the decoration part of the games. Click on MAKE YOUR CASTLE for the fun to begin.
Now comes the fun part. Here is where you get to make your own castle scene. There are two bars of decorations, one on the right and one at the bottom of the screen. Drag the item you would like to move to the screen with your mouse. Choose from: a wizard, knights, tents, sheep, a flame throwing dragon, squires, and much more. When you're done creating your castle scene, click the MENU button to practice more multiplication facts. Click on START OVER to clear the screen and decorate it again.
