Math Speedway Challenge - Subtraction is a free online racing game where you can race against your friends and others from around the world! Choose your favorite race car and practice the subtraction facts. The faster you answer correctly, the faster your car goes! Choose from a number of cool race tracks.

Click on the "GO" button to start the game.
This screen allows you to choose the color of car you would like to race. Click on the green forward and back arrows to look through the different race car options. When you have the car you like, click on the "DONE" button at the bottom of the screen.
Next choose a username for the race, then click on the "LOGIN" button. You'll notice in the bottom right corner there is a connection status indicator. You must be able to connect to the game server in order to play the game. If you have trouble connecting, make sure your network administrator can verify that ports 9933 or 8080 are not restricted. multiplication.com utilizes two layers of bad word checking in our online games. Grand Prix Pro allows you to play public games where you are racing other players from around the world. It also allows you to play private games where you race against your friends or classmates. Choose a public or private game by selecting the appropriate tab at the top of the dialog box.
PUBLIC GAME - To join a game, select one of the games that appear on the list. Each game allows four players and when many people are playing, the games disappear quickly. You can see what track the person who created the game chose. You also have the option of creating your own game. To do this, click on "CREATE NEW PUBLIC GAME."
PRIVATE GAME - Here you can join or create a private game. To join a private game, you will need to know the password. When you create a private game, you will be asked to enter a password.
If you created your own game, you also get to select the race track! Choose your track by clicking on one of the selections.
The race won't begin until you have 4 racers or the 10 seconds ends (15 seconds in a private game).
After the race begins, you will see the problems at the bottom center of the screen. Click on the correct answer as quickly as you can. If you get the answer correct, your car will speed up and the answer will glow green. If you get the answer wrong, the car will send out a puff of smoke and slow down! The answer will glow red.
The position of other racers on the track will be displayed on the track radar on the left of the screen.
To toggle the sound on and off, click on the speaker icon in the top right corner.
After you cross the finish line, the race results will be displayed. To race again, click on "PLAY AGAIN."
