Math Problems

I love math problems like this! They really get your mind thinking!

Were you able to solve this one?

Here is how we solved it:

if 4=12 because 4x3=12 then each problem would be multiplied by consecutive numbers starting with 3.

  5=20 5x4=20

  6=30 6x5=30

  7=42 7x6=42

  8=56 8x7=56

then 12=132

Had we continued to show the numbers 9, 10 and 11 being multiplied by consecutive numbers, you would know that 12 would then be multiplied by 11.

These are easy problems to recreate and get your students thinking!
