I had a “Wow” moment last week when I visited a 3rd grade teacher’s classroom. You know how something hard like ice skating can look easy when a skilled person does it? This teacher’s skill: building a team approach to celebrating success.

I hate having ads on Multiplication.com. I’m a parent of two girls and was a classroom teacher for over 25 years. The number one goal of the website is to help kids learn the times tables. I hate having ads on the site but each week millions of kids log onto the site and play the games. The bandwidth for the traffic costs me between $3000 and $5000 a month. The only way I have been able to keep the site operating is having some type of ad generated income.

My niece attends Gonzaga University and we are pretty excited about the Bulldogs making it into the NCAA basketball championship! Ms Croucher, a teacher at Brandon Gate Public School, brought March Madness into her math classroom!

For many classroom years, February has been a mid-year month - time to take a rear view assessment of kids growth. Time to start serious strategizing to get to year-end goals.

Which brings me to a childhood memory.
