TWINE (49)

Story:
The people who lived in Fort E decided to make the world’s largest ball of twine. They collected twine for many years and wound it into a ball. The ball of twine became bigger and bigger. After a few years, it was almost as big as the fort. It was the biggest ball of twine in the world.
The people of the fort had a problem. The ball was so big, they could not move around. The ball was too big to roll out the gate. The people did not want to unroll the twine, because then it wouldn’t be the biggest ball of twine in the world. They finally decided to move out of
Fort E and leave the twine there.
The ball of twine saved their lives. Soon after they moved out, two giant waves came crashing down on Fort E and destroyed the fort and the twine.

Story:

There was a roller skate who always wanted to learn how to surf. One day, it went to the beach and rented a surfboard. After some instruction, the skate learned how to surf.
It surfed all day and was having so much fun it did not want to stop. Near the end of the day, the skate started getting cold. It wanted to get warm but did not want to stop surfing. It came up with an idea. The roller skate borrowed a fishing pole from a man on the beach. As it surfed along, the skate would snag sticks with the hook. When it got to the beach, it took the sticks off the hook, put them in a pile, and went surfing again. Soon the skate had enough wood to build a fire and keep warm.

Each year, the kings went on a vacation together. One year, they went to the beach. They watched the people surfing. It looked like fun, but they did not have surfboards.
The king with the big feet had a funny idea. He thought they could all surf on his enormous shoes. So the four kings swam out into the water and three of the kings got on the shoulders of the king with the enormous shoes. When a wave came, the kings surfed to the beach on the enormous shoes. They had great fun surfing.
