Tony's Tires - Division Math Game
Content Skill: Division
Common Core State Standards: CCSS.Math.Content.3.OA.C.7 - Fluently divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.
Get ready to RACE! Before you can race your car, you will need to buy 5 tires. Four for the car and one spare. Each tire will cost you $200 and you earn $25 for each correct answer to a division fact. So, get 8 problems correct and you have a new tire. After you earn enough for the five tires, you get to race your car around the speedway!
Welcome to Tony's Tire Shop! To begin earning money to buy tires, click on GO!
The first step is the choose the division fact families you would like to practice. Choose an individual fact family or group of fact families.
Click on the tire displaying the correct answer to the division problem. You will receive $25 for each correct answer. Eight correct answers buys you a tire.
You have earned enough money for a tire. Use the air wrench to put the lug nuts on. Use the mouse to position the power wrench where the nuts go. Then, click the mouse to power up the tool and tighten the nut.
Each time you earn a new tire, it will tell you how many more you need to purchase before you can race.
When you have purchased 5 tires, it is time to race. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move your car through the course.
You get to race your car around the track three times. The counter in the upper left corner will tell you what lap you are on, what your best lap time was and what the time is on your current lap.
When you have finished, click the screen to begin the game again!
