Warm-Up

Give the student a die (or two for bigger numbers). Ask the student to roll the die, use the numbers to create a division problem, and then explain the solution to the problem they created.

Ask the student to create a division word problem (e.g., "You have 6 stickers and want to give them all to 3 friends. To share them equally, how many stickers do you give each friend?"). Then, ask them to explain how to solve the problem.
