Patty's Paints Multiplication Math Game
Content Skill: Multiplication
Common Core State Standards: CCSS.Math.Content.3.OA.C.7 - Fluently multiply within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.
After the game finishes loading Patty welcomes you to the paint shop. Click the "Go" button to get started.
This screen allows you to choose the fact family or group of fact families you'd like to work on.
In this screen, you are faced with problems to answer. Just click the right paint bottle to answer the problem! This screen is shown to you multiple times. You will see it before they paint each of the four cars. Then you'll see it before they start the race. Take note of the ability to mute the music by clicking the sound button on the bottom right.
Now comes the creative fun! This screen gives you the opportunity to paint four different cars. After you answer questions from the screen above, you get to paint a car. Click on a paint color and then click on the part of the car that you want to paint that color. When you're done painting the car, click the done button on the right.
After each painting session, you go back to the equation screen to answer some more multiplication questions.
After finishing the equation screen five times it's time to race! Click the "Go Race!" button to be taken to the race screen.
Here you'll get to try out your racing skills as you go around the track three times. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to control the car. Stay on the blacktop because the gray area will slow you down.
Once the game is over, you can play the entire game again by simply clicking the "Want to race again?" button.
